A New Way to Locate and Route Cell Phone Callers

Georouting – or sending incoming calls directly to the right location rather than through a call center – has been around for years and has greatly improved the workflow and customer experience for many organizations. But cell phone callers have typically been a challenge because there is no national directory for cell phones and, of course, cell phones are mobile. Many of our customers have been asking for the ability to locate cell phone callers and route their calls based upon where they are.

AdGeo now offers a new solution to address this problem. It’s called mobile location routing, and it allows us to locate cell phone callers and route the calls precisely just like a landline. Mobile location routing uses triangulation off the cell phone towers to determine a caller’s exact physical location and make a call-routing decision in real-time. Then, the call is routed directly to the most appropriate location, based on whatever parameters you set.

Since mobile location routing does not depend on GPS technology or a mobile app, it will work on any cell phone -- not just smartphones. And you don’t need to develop a mobile app to use it.

If an increasing number of your customers are trying to reach you via cell phones, give us a call and we’ll help you determine if mobile location routing is right for you. It’s also a great solution if you need to connect mobile callers with mobile service providers. Contact us if you’d like to learn more.
